11 Top Legitimate Wealthy Affiliate Complaints

So you have heard of Wealthy Affiliate, but not sure whether you should join or not? You have searched on the internet and all you have found are good things about wealthy affiliate, right?

Long story short, below are actual Wealthy affiliate complaints which I have come across while I was a Wealthy Affiliate member. To read my unbiased take on the Wealthy Affiliate platform, simply click here to be redirected.

11 Top Legitimate Wealthy Affiliate Complaints:

The First complaint is Wealthy Affiliate claims you will get 2 free websites. That is incorrect. In fact, you will get 2 free websites on a SiteRubix sub-domain. A sub-domain is different from a domain. Read below to learn more about what each term means.

What Is A Sub-domain: A sub-domain means you DON’T OWN these websites. When you create your websites, you will notice: yourwebsitename.siterubix.com. The siterubix.com is the sub-domain.

On the other hand, when you own the website and you have your own domain (.com,.org,.net), you will notice your website URL looks like this : yourwebsitename.com.

With all this said, if you have content up on a sub-domain and the owner of that sub-domain (in this case, Wealthy Affiliate) decides to take that sub-domain, they can and there is nothing you can do about it.

Now I am not saying that this has happened before. But, if it did, there is nothing you can do about it. So really when you have 2 websites hosted on a sub-domain, means you don’t really own these websites unless otherwise, you decide to purchase a domain name rather.

The second complaint is if you are a Wealthy Affiliate starter member, you CANNOT purchase a domain unless otherwise you upgrade to the premium membership ($49/month). So you need to become a paid member PLUS, you still need to cover the cost of your domain, which is usually somewhere between $13-$15 per year.

This brings us to the third complaint to wealthy affiliate, which is the cost of the hosting is very expensive. You can host else where for much cheaper. You can check out my number one recommendation for hosting services.

The Fourth complaint with Wealthy Affiliate is their Official Keyword Research Tool, Jaaxy. If you are a starter member, you can only use it for 30 searches. After that if you want to use the JAAXY Keyword, you would need to either upgrade to their JAAXY Enterprise, or JAAXY PRO.

Moving along, fifth wealthy affiliate complaint, as a starter member, you have access to the chat and community support for ONLY the first 7 days of you joining the platform. After that, you are kind of on your own. So if you want help with anything, you MUST upgrade to a paid membership.

The Sixth wealthy affiliate complaint, there is no 30 day money back guarantee. So if you are unsatisfied with the platform, you can’t ask for a refund.

11 Top Legitimate Wealthy Affiliate Complaints:

The Seventh Wealthy Affiliate Complaint is you are told by members (this could be the affiliates fault) that you can make money from your website even if it is hosted on a sub-domain. The reason they use this claim is to get more and more people to join the platform, so they can earn higher affiliate commissions.

But just to be clear here, it is very hard to earn money from a website that is hosted on a sub-domain. It’s very rare that people can earn income from a website hosted on a sub-domain. The reason being, it’s very hard to get ranked in search engines if you are on a sub-domain. And so when you are not ranked, means you don’t show up in the top results, people will not even know your site even exists. You will have no online presence.

Furthermore, the eighth wealthy complaint is if you reside in certain countries of the world, you can ONLY join as a Premium member, which is a “bummer” for some people. The countries are: Egypt, India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Vietnam, Philippines, Nigeria, Kenya, Morocco. This country list was at the time of this post. It may have changed, and it may not.

Moreover, the ninth wealthy affiliate complaint is some of the content provided to you in the premium membership is outdated. Some of that content needs to be updated.

The 10th Wealthy Affiliate complaint is the ranking system they have. The ranking system is a waste of time. You will find people are worried about ranking rather than getting work done.

Lastly, the 11th wealthy affiliate complaint is the chat that wealthy affiliate has, is rather a distraction. You will find yourself chatting rather than getting work done.
