18+ Ways To Attract Visitors To Your Website

Attracting people to your website is as simple as 1-2-3. It’s not as hard as it looks. You just need to follow a routine. Furthermore, there are 2 types of traffic which you can use to drive to your site : Paid Traffic and Free Traffic.

The Paid Traffic is traffic you will get in a short period of time, but of course you pay for that type of traffic. This can be pay per click, Facebook ads, and etc. On the other hand, free traffic is more like long term. For instance, it’s how much work you put into your site that will drive traffic to your site in the long run.

Which type of traffic should you use or focus on? That’s totally up to you. It will depend on the type of Niche site or blog you have.

Having said that, below are ways to attract visitors to your site using both the paid and the free traffic.

Make Your Website Helpful

Create tutorials – Have a “How To” section on your website. Or you could even create guides and tutorials with screen shots and illustrations to help visitors.  People are always looking for answers, and when they find their answer in the How To section, they are going to be very pleased. And they will want to come back to visit your site for more answers.

Make Your Website Easy To Navigate

This is very important to look out for. Many websites are just jammed with all these useless menu titles, and it sometimes is hard to find what you’re looking for. Ensure your visitors will find what they’re looking for.

Writing Helpful Long Posts

Writing long posts without answering your visitor’s questions is such a bad idea. Having said that, when creating content, answer the question that of your reader, and answer any questions they might have afterwards. This will make your post longer.

For instance, if I was to write a post on “How to travel with cats on an airplane”, and I show the exact steps, I can then write how to deal with a cat meowing on a plane. So in other words, write viral blog posts.

Answer People’s Questions

Sometimes you might feel that you can answer a question with just 400 words, go ahead. Don’t count on the number of words. Rather focus more on helping your visitor find what they are looking for rather than counting how many characters you have.

What matters is you need to answer the question people are looking for and do it quickly. Please don’t just stuff your content with the keyword you are trying to rank for. Just write naturally and answer the question.

Keep Writing Blog Posts Every Week

Simply keep your website alive. Always add content to it. And this doesn’t have to be every day. Write 3 -4 posts each week.

So this is basically becoming social. But the only difference is with Quora you will find that it’s one of the best ways to promote your site there.

Quora is an online forum which you can write answers to questions people have. And you will simply just need to link to your website. But again, you must be careful to not violate Quora’s rules and regulation in terms of sharing content on their forum.

Having said that, you can also use Reddit and post answers to questions people have and link back to your website.

Use Custom Made Images

I know I mentioned earlier you use images within your content. And this is very important to have on your website within your content. However, if you use the free images, search engines will not likely rank these images and they will not be found if someone was to do an image search. Therefore, you should custom make the images that you want to use on your website.

Furthermore, there are so many online platforms which you can use to make custom made images. I personally use Canva, because it’s free. And by the way they are free to use. But if you want to upgrade, you would need to pay. I am doing great with the free version of Canva.

Write Creative Titles

So when you are done with writing a post, make sure you come up with a creative title that fits well with your content. This is important because when you have an eye catching title, people will more likely want to click and read the post.

Moreover, I usually recommend you use the character counter and use titles that are not longer than 60 characters long. Other wise, the title will be cut short. So if you use 60 characters for a title, you are on the safe side.

Join Free Online Forums

Join free online forums related to your niche. Again, this is similar to when you join social media groups. You would join groups that are related to your niche and you would share your content and link back to your website.
