Ages: Preschool and up

Art projects can keep most kids busy for hours! so if you have small kids that are aged 4-7, you might want to keep it as simple as coloring. This way your kids can be coloring in the same room as you get your work done.

Reading

Ages: 7 and up

There are kids that can actually read who are aged 7 and under. For this reason, there are books that are wordless that will catch your kids attention and keep them busy while you get your work done! You can certainly check out reading books from the library.

Audio Books

Ages: Preschool and up

Audio books are ideal for kids who struggle with reading. And as for kids that can read, they can expand their horizons. I personally recommend the Kindle Unlimited membership with Amazon.

Toys

Ages: 3 and up

You can keep kids busy with toys and games. For example, board games, cards, construction toys, trains, play sets and puzzles are just a few  that you can use to keep kids engaged for hours. I personally use Amazon and in fact, I have the Prime membership with Amazon, which is pretty cheap to use to get free shipping on millions of items. You can use it for free for the first 30 days and you can cancel before the 30 days are up and you won’t be charged a nickel.

Colored Tape

Ages: 7 and up

Colored tape can be used for several ideas. For instance, in the playroom area, you can use the colored tape to write numbers with it, to create a hopscotch. You don’t have to worry about using chalk.

Secondly, my husband uses colored tape to make a car track with it. We use different colors depending on the color of the car.

The best colored tape that I find that sticks very well, and is at the same time easy to remove is the Super Thin Water Proof colored tape.

Naps

Ages: Until age 5

You can take advantage of getting some work done during your kids nap time. You can work on getting a nap time schedule for your kids. It may sound hard, but you can actually get your kids to want to nap if you keep them busy through out the day. And so they would want to nap at some point.

Baking

Ages 4 and up

Kids just love to bake. They see us do it all the time, they like to imitate us. This a great way to keep your kids busy, especially if you need some time to get some work done. Your kids can actually in the same room as you are. This way you don’t have to worry about checking on them, every 5 minutes.

I find that girls are actually more interested in baking than boys. But they can definitely take turns doing it, and they can show off their skills with each other. It is a great way to keep them busy. I do it all the time with my kids.

There are so many baking utensils, specifically for kids to use and play with. So you don’t have to worry about them hurting themselves when playing with the baking tools.

Camping Indoor

Ages 8 and up

If you have an old tent, you can definitely use it as an indoor camping idea. Kids just love to camp. This is will definitely keep them busy for at least a couple of hours.

The best part is they can actually sleep in it (for real or pretend). And this way they can be under your supervision. They can camp indoor in the same room as you. So you don’t have to worry about checking on them every 5 minutes.
