So for whatever reason you want to uninstall a plugin, below you will find a step by step guide on how to uninstall a word press plugin. This will not be long, as it involves a simple procedure.

 

 

First off, log into your WP admin area and go to Plugins>> Installed Plugins. Please See the screen below:

 

 

 

 

When you click on “Installed Plugins”, you will see a list of the plugins you have installed on your word press site. Locate the plugin that you want to have uninstalled and click “Deactivate”. For the sake of this tutorial, we will deactivate the plugin ” Google Analytics for WordPress by Monster Insights”. Please see screen below:

 

 

 

 

When you Hit the “Deactivate” button, you will be asked for the reason why you want to deactivate the plugin. Select the reason why and hit submit. Please See screen below. Or you can even skip and deactivate.

 

 

Next, you will need to delete the plugin after you have deactivated it. So after you have deactivated the plugin, you will see the button change to the “Delete” button, click the “Delete” button. Please See screen below:

 

 

 

 

Once you have deleted the Plugin, you will be asked to confirm that you want to delete the plugin. Simply, hit the “Ok” button. See Image below:

 

 

 

Once you hit the “Ok” button, you will see that the plugin has been deleted. Please See Screen Below:
