As a member of both platforms, Wealthy Affiliate and Affilorama, I would like to  do a review of both platforms, especially for the newly starting individuals, who are new to the online world. Hopefully, after reading this review, you will get a better idea of each platform, in order to help you decide which online training community would suit you best.

 

In this review, I will be briefly discussing what each platform offers, based on my personal experience. I will list out the pros and cons of each platform, discuss the pricing of each platform, and lastly, my recommendation.

What Do You Get With Each Platform?

 

 

Wealthy Affiliate

Affilorama

You can join Wealthy Affiliate, as a starter member (Free), or $49/month (Premium) + optional Up-sells. As a starter member, you get 10 Getting Started Lessons, to help walk you through the basics of starting your online business, using affiliate marketing. As a starter member, you have access to 2 free websites, which are hosted on a sub-domain. If you are a premium member, you will get access to 50 Lessons of more in-depth affiliate marketing training, to help you start your own online business. Also, as a premium member, you will have access to Weekly Live Webinars, and lots of of community training contributed by members of the Wealthy Affiliate. As a premium member, you will have Web Hosting, and Keyword Research Tool. As a premium member, you get 24/7 support and live chat help. And you can contact the owners Kyle and Carson, and they will usually get back to you within 24 hours.

You can join Affilorama as either a starter member or a premium. A starter member is $0, while a premium is $67/month + Upsells. As a starter member, you will have access to more than 80 video tutorials, which come with written notes, to help you set-up your own online affiliate marketing business. As a starter member, you will get the Affilo-tools for free.  This Affilo-tools is great for beginners. As a premium member, you will have access to webinars, and interviews. Affilorama has call and email support.

We are all in the same shoes, meaning, we all have been looking for LEGIT online opportunities. Some of us (like myself), may have been victims to so many online “getting rich overnight” schemes. And so we are looking for a system that works, is at the same time.

 

Let’s look at the Pros and Cons of each plat-form.

 

Pros Of Both Wealthy Affiliate And Affilorama

Both platforms offer a free membership, which is great for beginners. You can actually try the platform, and see how it works.   Affilorama and Wealthy Affiliate teach you how to start your own online business.    Moreover, both platforms provide training material for you to use to start your own online business.    Furthermore, both platforms have great support. They usually get back to you within 24 hours.   If you sign-up as a premium member with either platform, you will get a discount rate. So with wealthy affiliate, if you sign-up as a premium member within the first 7 days, you will get your first month at $19 instead of $49. Also, if you sign up as a premium member at Affilorama, within the first 7 days, you will get your first month for only a $1.   Wealthy affiliate has an annual membership of $359, so you can save money, if you join as an annual member. On the other hand, Affilorama has a three year subscription of $497. This would almost cost $166 per year. You could save so much with Affilorama as well.   Both platforms have a great referral program. So if you refer someone to the community, you will be compensated for it.   With Wealthy Affiliate you host up to 25 domains. While with Affilorama, you can host up to 15 domains.

 

 

Now let’s look at the Cons of each platform:

 

• Wealthy Affiliate will cost more in the first month. You will get a discount rate at $19 for the first month at wealthy affiliate, while only for a $1 at Affilorama.

 

• Affilorama will cost you $67 a month as a premium, while Wealthy Affiliate is only $49 a month.

 

• You can choose to go as an annual member at Wealthy Affiliate for only $359 a year, and you can become a 3 year subscription member at Affilorama for only $497, which is almost $166 a year.

 

• There are up-sells to both platforms. Wealthy Affiliate requires you to pay for your domain, which will cost you $20-30 a year.

 

• Another up-sell at wealthy affiliate, is if you are a premium member , and want to upgrade to a Pro or Enterprise Jaaxy (Keyword Tool), you would need to pay either $19, or $49 a month. Or you can go annual, would be much cheaper for you.  But you do have access to Jaaxy Lite for free, if you are a premium member at wealthy affiliate.

 

• If you are a starter member at wealthy affiliate, you only have access to 30 searches, using the keyword research tool, and that’s it, so you are kind of left with the option of having to upgrade to use the free keyword research tool, or pay $49 for the Jaaxy Pro, or $99 for the Jaaxy Enterprise. Which is equivalent to the premium membership fees.  

 

• Most of the information you get at both wealthy affiliate and affilorama, can be obtained if you do a web-search or go on YouTube.

 

• You do not really use all the training and information provided to you at either platform.  Sometimes you feel, it’s too much for nothing.

 

• Some of the training at both platforms, are almost repeating themselves.

 

• The live-chat at Wealthy Affiliate, can actually keep you from doing work. You can find yourself wasting your time, rather than be writing more content on your website.

 

• You won’t be able to join Wealthy Affiliate as a starter member, if you live in certain parts of the world, so you would need to join as premium members, rather. 

 

• The up-sells at Affilorama are so many: Affilotheme which is $97, and Affiloblueprint: $197. Not to mention Affillojetpack , which costs $997, and that’s all added to the $67 a month membership fee.

 

• You get 15 self hosted websites at Affilorama, compared to 25 self hosted websites at Wealthy Affiliate.

 

• The training information pertaining to affiliate marketing is sort of outdated at Affilorama.

 

Verdict

 

 

In conclusion, both Wealthy Affiliate and Affilorama are LEGIT, no doubt about that. However, as you can see, you will be spending so much in your first year just to get started, with either platform. I know what you are thinking – It would cost you more with Affilorama, if you choose to go as a premium member, month to month at $67 a month. But if you choose to go on a 3 year subscription, you are better off with Affilorama, compared to Wealthy Affiliate. 

 

It’s true that Affilorama does not have a live chat like wealthy affiliate does, and you need to have access to support, in case you are stuck on something , and you want answers to your questions. But I mean you can always email support at Affilorama, and you usually get an answer within 24 hours.

 

 

Not to mention, most of the information you find at theses platforms, can be actually found online if you do a web-search, or even search on YouTube. You can get all that information, and up-to-date, all for free.

 

All you really need to pay in order to start your online business, is for hosting and domain, and that would cost you about $50 A YEAR. Yet these platforms are charging you far more for just membership fees.

 

In the end, any platform, will have its own pros and cons. But what matters is if you are actually getting your monies worth.  And in my personal opinion, as a member of both platforms, do yourself a favor, and DITCH both platforms, because you are not getting your monies worth with these guys.

 

They just want you to get them more people to join their platforms, so they can make money off of them, by selling them products, and etc.

 

 

And this is the exact reason why you see all these good reviews online, that talk about how great these  platforms are, and what not. The truth is, people write these reviews, for one reason only, these platforms offer great commission pay when you refer others to the community.
